@kouett If no emergency phone, and no mobile, does shorting out the two rails work in UK to show occupancy on track?
@undefined_variable @kouett Very likely, yes. We've barely moved beyond a single trial of ETCS on a remote branch line, so I think the signal circuits still mostly work by shorting between the two rails.

@trantion @undefined_variable @kouett Actually ETCS is deployed in the Thameslink core as well.

Apparently Network Rail is also starting to put it in up the ECML which surprised me (I would have thought it would cost too much). I think there are a few other places where its either planned to be installed, being installed, or already active.
