@Diogenes #HyperBackup is awesome! Depending on the size of the backup, and the NAS model it could take time, but it will do the job.
@blackvoid Thanks. I need this... Time is no problem. File system error at the postgresql-directory - I hope, the backup can fix this.
@blackvoid May I ask, how much time should I expect für a DS70+ with only basic pakets and a familiy nextcloud installation?
Waiting for 1 hour now.
@Diogenes It depends on the size of the backup tbh as well as how much data needs to be extracted. Guessing that’s DS720+?
@blackvoid Yes, typo, DS720+. I thought it would just backup/restore the Synology-OS? Or is it restoring the whole data from /volume1/*.* ? Thats some 100GB, from a local USB3-HDD.

@Diogenes OK let’s back up a little bit. What are you restoring? Are you restoring the entire OS or only a specific database? If you’re restoring full bare metal NAS from backup it will take some time for sure. Back in the day when full metal backup came out I did a test. For only 7GB of data it still took 1,5h to complete. https://www.blackvoid.club/full-bare-metal-backup-with-hyper-backup-and-dsm-7-2/

The volume transfer will be fast as possible over USB but still it might take hours to complete the whole process.

@blackvoid To be honest I'm not sure what I'm restoring. Hyper backup offered two options - the first one immediately brought an error, so I tried the second option. It opened system control at the submenue system recovery and then started.
Backup medium is a 4TB USB-HDD connected to the NAS.
I allways thought this is only for the Synology OS?
The 500GB nextcloud-data should be backed to another NAS in another location, but as far as I can see it's not restoring from there.
@blackvoid I think, something went wrong. CPU load is 3%, RAM about 7%, no network traffic.
@Diogenes It will take time and if you haven’t gotten an error it is still working
@blackvoid Okay. Thanks for your support. I'm going to bed now and will hope for tomorrow.
@Diogenes That’s a full nas restore OS/apps/data.
