erlokay, so in July 2024 I bought a pair of 18tb hard drives for storage + backup for $180 apiece.
This January, I bought a third 18TB to add parity checking, which was $320.
Now (in March), looking at the same drives, it’s $500.

@mj12albert yeah when I’d initially built my little NAS I bought three drives then returned one since it seemed like too much too early, especially since **obviously** storage always gets cheaper with time
