poking at the #erlang cosmos with #elixir and #gleam and this all makes perfect sense to me
for me making an effort to learn OOP turned out to be somewhat of a waste of time and I abandoned it at the next feasible opportunity and never looked back
it's just not how I think stuff works and it never really clicked
@sushee yay! one of the things I love about OTP is how there are so many primitives / native stdlib style building blocks that so many things that I'd considered necessary to run external services for like message queuing, processing pipelines, and event logs and things just kind of self assemble when you think about the problem in the 'right way'.
it took me a few years to really start problem solving with it properly but it's become indispensable to me
