AI gell-mann amnesia is such a problem. on one hand u have the chat box outputting stuff that looks indistinguishable from expert humans when you're not familiar with that area, and then on the other hand when you are familiar with the area you're like this is 100% garbage lol
like on one hand i hear abt how when you have vibecoder coworkers you have to sift through piles of their garbage code to make it work correctly and clean it up, which takes much longer than if the code had not been generated by the chat box and is just like really frustrating to have to do repeatedly, and then on the other hand it's like look the funny weighted RNG generated this whole paper that's indistinguishable from a real one because i'm not familiar enough with the area

it's easy to cherry pick the best random words from the RNG and compare them to cherry picked worst human work but i get to see a representative sample and i will tell u it's pretty miserable
