Some video was suggested to me on ig that was like "I'd rather have this than matcha any day" and it was... a photo of dolmas. Holy non sequitur! Please don't use the word for the thing when you have the hipster industrialization thereof in mind. I love dolmas and also actual matcha.

That machine comes for everything. Trader Joe's used to have pretty good fresh dolmas in their refrigerated section but stopped because they're fucking assholes. Now they just private label some mid canned ones.

In these cases, I think what you *mean* to say is "I'd rather have grandma food than Starbucks any day" and I agree. Whether it's Eastern Mediterranean grandma food such as dolmas or Japanese grandma food such as nimono.

Please don't confuse the delectable matcha I had at a literal temple with the half-assed bandwagon flavored milk you had at the chain coffee place inside the chain grocery store.
