I think, the real purpose of pushing AI coding is to overwhelm and eventually destroy FOSS.

Most proprietary shit is increasingly having trouble demonstrating value against FOSS alternatives (even the less functional alternatives, due to shitty subscription fuckery).

Closed projects can hide their shitty AI code, and don't have to worry about having their repos ddosed by bug reports, real and fake.
