Tuta just keeps getting better. 🎉

P.S. Have you tried Undo Send, and seen Pending Invitations in your calendar, yet? Curious to hear your comments! 😍

@Tutanota ok I'll try it the next time i send someone an email.
@Tutanota
I haven't used it but saw the information about the new feature when opening my emailbox a few days ago.

@Tutanota
Off topic:

I'm a confused.
I dont get any notification on my device.

Only if i open the tuta mail APP, i can see, there is a New mail or not.
I think it allowed everything for the APP.

Thats a bit confusing 😶

@badger3 Please disable battery optimization for the app to receive push instantly & restart the notification service (or your device). If this does not help, try to lock the Tuta app such that it continues to run in the background regardless. This is needed as we don't rely on Google Push, but have built our own service to protect your privacy.
@badger3 @Tutanota Android (especially some OEM variants) is very aggressive with killing apps, which breaks notifications that don't go trough Google Cloud Messaging.

If you're running an OEM-customised version of Android then check https://dontkillmyapp.com/ for information about OEM-specific issues and potential fixes.
Don’t kill my app!

Hey Android vendors, don’t kill my app!

Don’t kill my app!

@reiddragon
oh wow, thanks for sharing, i did some adjustments like the website said.

If it doesnt work, i think i need to buy a new phone :-) (finaly a searched reason :lol:)

@badger3 custom ROMs like Lineage aren't nearly as bad with random killing, so maybe it's worth going down that road as well (if all the other reasons to run custom ROMs over OEM variants didn't convince you previously)

@reiddragon
Its an Huawai p20 with their EMUI?!
Not soo Custom

And after my test i can say... it didnt work xD

@badger3 yeeee, there's no saving a Huawei. They're hardly modable and EMUI is one of the worst offenders in breaking stuff that worked in AOSP

@reiddragon
haha yeah that was my feeling with their update. It was a bit wierd.

I´m not a patient person... the push notification is here - with a ~3min delay to the desktop app.

so there is no reason for a new smartphone - damm it ;-)

Thanks for you link and help

@badger3 oh yeah, that delay is *bad* compared to my phone running crDroid (LineageOS with some extra features) on which I often get notifications before the mails show up on desktop.

@reiddragon

i get notification - i´am happy.

3 or 5min delay is nothing to worry

@Tutanota no &no. I don't want my emails connected to a calendar. More complexity & more stuff doesn't always make things better, sometimes it makes them worse. Overall this is why I'm phasing more & more into physical documents & setups.
