with the US now insolvent, i suggest norway should use some of their oil money and simply buy the whole thing. and then, with greenland already being danish, we'd have canada surrounded and could reasonably argue for them to join the nordics too

@JessTheUnstill @jasmine yeah this article has nothing new at all. As if nobody knew US government has a huge debt (had for several / many decades).
The insolvency will happen when they can no longer borrow, but for now everybody seems to be very happy to buy their bonds, regardless of assets not covering the debt (which was a thing for decades, again; and it's also the thing with many other western governments).

I'm surprised Forbes (which are supposed to be a serious media for people who know a thing or two about economics, not a tabloid) published this.
