Running #BSSG on my laptop, rather than on a Raspberry Pi 4, takes ~3 minutes, rather than ~7 minutes.

And if I turned off descriptions / excerpts generation, it would cut that down even further.

I might go down this path, rsyncing everything back to the webserver, rather than just rsyncing the post across to the webserver and building and deploying the site on the webserver.

@neil I didn't know what BSSG even was so I looked it up and... wow. Props for ambition to the author of that.
Moving my static site blog generator from hugo to BSSG

Notes on setting up BSSG, and migrating from hugo

@neil Oh, no, no, no need to explain or apologize! I was curious and I always twitch a bit when someone mentions something that trips my "that ought to be faster" sense so I figured I'd go look to see what BSSG even was. I am now deeply impressed by the author's ambition and commitment to the bit. (And also trying hard to sit on the nerd-snipey part of my brain thinking "well, y'know, I bet there are things you could do to bash to speed up its script exectution..." because that won't end well)
@neil SSGs are fun. I'm building myself one that's compatible with ikiwiki. I aim to get run time under 10s for my 5000+ page biggest site.
