The Trump admin spiked the price of oil and blocked offshore wind and pulled a loan for a transmission line to bring cheap electricity to market and slashed support for energy efficiency so consumers could spend less and cut access to EV tax credits to save gasoline…
…and rescinded decisions to stop LNG exports that were driving up domestic gas prices and tanked job and GDP growth and made people so anxious about investing in the US that rig counts and RE investments have collapsed…
I could go on. But the point is that EVERYTHING they have done has made energy consumers poorer and either raised the price of energy to benefit producers or insulated expensive energy producers from competitive pressure. It is the intent of these policies.
