I don't know which setting I changed, but NVDA is now maintaining its position in cmd instead of always being at the bottom. If I run a command, I now have to nvda-arrow down through all the output to get to the end. Before, any update to the content would put NVDA at the end automatically. What did I do, and how do I change this? It would sometimes be useful for NVDA to have this behavior, but not all the time.
@alexhall NVDA+6 toggles "Caret moves review cursor" on and off. I believe that option is turned off when that happens.
@ChrisDuffley I've tried having this setting both on and off, and it doesn't seem to make any difference.
@alexhall @ChrisDuffley Try the one with NVDA+7, navigator object follows focus. Both of them should be on for the usual behaviour you want.
@NikJov @ChrisDuffley Both are on, and NVDA still won't follow how it should. I guess I should just do a restart.
@alexhall Not sure if some shortcut fixes it but a working solution is to alt tab out and back in. It goes to the bottom if I do this.
@alexhall NVDA+6 to toggle caret moves review cursor to on.
