I observed many times that the larger male asks for food, then flies up to a tree and calls the smaller one to come and eat, often enough everything.
Social birds, caring for each other.
Mike@canyakker The scrub jays here do that too, one comes to the window to ask for peanuts, the other waits in a nearby tree.
