Even there, it’s the federal government. They make the money, and basically pay for things by typing in whatever number they need. Nobody in Washington will even track it except for maybe a photo op.
Again, it’s not about making the money, it’s about taking the money. And to state the obvious, money does not equal human life here. It is a punishment and spare me the “if your rich that’s just the cost of doing business” drone.
They’re not just rich, though, they literally define money. They might as well sue for brownie points, unless it’s enough to actually alter the macroeconomic balance of the country.
