I was supposed to bring this up when the news first hit, then I forgot.
But when I saw people that Starfleet Academy was trending, I assumed people were talking about the 1997 Star Trek Simulation Game...

This is another one of those games I played a lot with my Dad and have loads of fond memories of it. I really should play this again!

The short answer is a lot.

I had at least 8 Star Trek games as a kid.

25th Anniversary for GameBoy
25th Anniversary for MS-DOS
Starfleet Academy
Star Trek Generations
Klingon Honour Guard
Star Trek Voyager Elite Force
Star Trek Away Team
Star Trek Hidden Evil

And I know that barely scratches the surface!

A surprising number of them.

Honour Guard, Elite Force and Generations are first person shooters.
Honour Guard uses the Unreal engine as well.

Starfleet Academy uses 3D models and FMVs.

Those were just the ones I played too, there are probably a few more that were 3D as well.
