I’m reading a science fiction novel. One sentence stood out as a fine example of painting the world and giving some info there, and setting the mood.

’The room which his visitor had chosen was unfamiliar to him, but his brainware contained a set of floor plans for every building in the university, and thus he had no difficulty in finding it.’

For some reason I started thinking how this would sound with different setting information.

Of course this seems a bit silly, but I found the thought amusing.
