@ominouslemon l wish to introduce a bunch of facebookers to activity pub. I wish to create a group/space where only invited people can upload their media. Everybody, of course, can comment on them. It would look like a replica of some facebook group.
Tuukka RI am not really sure if anything running on ActivityPub really supports this. But:
On PieFed you can limit a community so that only moderators of that community can make new posts. And then everyone can comment. Comments are able to include images, though. So, if you are okay with adding those invited people as moderators, then PieFed can do what you want it to do.
First create the comm, then go to comm's settings and choose "☑ Only moderators can post".
