Think Strava leaking ship locations is crazy?

Well guess how they figure out wind conditions from ships and artillery locations...

Here's an example i found pretty quickly (also it's like the only org still flying rs92)
(I'm pretty sure those are tank turrets?) This is not a new thing, it's probably already documented everywhere
another one
this Israeli radiosonde which was recently launched flew over a presumably military airport and was GPS jammed. This area until recently hadn't been a problem on gpsjam.org
@xssfox Cross Border OSINT Fox
@xssfox Interesting how American encampments always look like IC dies
@tryst not sure if this is american or not, not something i have experience with
@xssfox tricky recovery I suspect
@xssfox interesting facility
@steadilyebbing according to bing it's a council
@steadilyebbing not sure why a council is doing regular launches without a wmo code...
@xssfox I guess they do local councils differently there
@steadilyebbing nothing in the last 2 months, but a few reported recovered in the last year
@steadilyebbing @xssfox standing at the outer fence shouting "Hey mister! Can I have my balloon back?"
@xssfox will you require a support contract from usa.mil to suppress their launches?
@jpm I think I would need a court order
@xssfox I don’t think a 7 or 8 figure support contract would be unreasonable for any .mil, between suppressing their own launches from the public and being able to receive unsuppressed data…
@jpm would cover our AWS bill for a couple of months
@xssfox what? they launch standard balloons that... Check notes... Broadcast their location in clear from military ships whose location is supposed to be secret?
