A March 2026 social‑media post claimed that a “leaked DOJ wiretap” from Jeffrey Epstein’s case captured Turning Point USA CEO Erika Kirk scheduling teenage girls for sexualized massages. The post, which went viral on X and was shared on other platforms, said the voice on the recording was Kirk’s and that she was “the widow of slain Turning Point USA co‑founder Charlie Kirk.” Fact‑checkers rated the claim false.
The recording does exist in the Justice Department’s Epstein files (audio file EFTA00276490.m4a), but a 2005 Palm Beach Police Department probable‑cause affidavit identifies the speaker as Haley Robson, a former victim who was recruited by Epstein to arrange massages for him. In the controlled phone call documented in the affidavit, Robson tells a 14‑year‑old girl, “the more you do, the more you get paid,” and sets up an appointment at Epstein’s residence. The file was obtained as part of a police investigation, not as a wiretap of Epstein’s associates, and there is no evidence that the Justice Department leaked it.
The rumor gained traction after X user @ProjectConstitu posted the audio with a sensational caption, later issuing a correction and apology. No evidence links Erika Kirk to the recording or to Epstein’s activities, and both Kirk’s organization and Robson have been contacted for comment. The incident underscores how misidentified audio can spread misinformation, even when the underlying recording is authentic but involves a different individual.
