I mentioned to my parents how I'd been banned from a group chat after a chain of events that began when I made an off-hand comment in favor of Antifa, and my dad replied that I shouldn't have done that because it had been "provocative" on my part, though he didn't even ask what my comment was.

My parents are pretty liberal, but they sure aren't in any danger of being called "leftists".
