been semi-offline awhile, resumed some old hobbies, been practicing some new ones. however i’ve yet to shake the lingering feeling of going through the motions, and as bad, following a script that’s not even my own. this? feels like another page to that. grumbling about current circumstances, regardless of how thoroughly justified, without any slightly meaningful or substantive contribution, much less action, that feels like it’s even barely winding the gear to move the needle, feels like just another line on the page too. talking up almost anything otherwise also feels like following the currents spun by some bastards’ machines, and isn’t it tiring getting tossed this way and that, half-expected to know or have a positive opinion on the hum or grind of their remix on screwing people over? so long as the machine’s similar, so’s the critical opinion. are they screwin’ someone over some way with something else? screw’em for perpetuating abuses and for finding another way with somethin’ else. is it over-generalizing or reductionist? sure, pessimistic, almost certainly. i don’t know what you do when you know others have seen how the sausage is made and enough think it’s okay to let that machine keep going, and there aren’t enough of you to stop or even adjust it. they just want their sausage and won’t you let’em enjoy it? so some of them get minced in along the way, let’s just move on, people gotta eat, y’know? except let’s try not to, don’t miss the malfeasance for the maiming.
