2/n…jurisdictions related to events like drone incursions , airspace violations and safety of flight issues that involve a good deal of agency overlap at both the federal and state level. It has been suggested that #DHS could be given blanket jurisdiction and funding to monitor #UAP.
I think this would be a mistake. Rather than resolving the overlaps this would simply duplicate various facets and jurisdictions with more overlap. Better interagency coordination would be more cost effective…
3/n…there is nothing wrong with those looking at these questions from a public policy perspective also looking at potential future scenarios. If it should turn out that programmatic contact has actually occurred in the past there are probably some other wheels we don’t need to reinvent
