I mentioned earlier that only about 25% of Full Professors in STEM were women when I retired in 2024. But only 2% of Full Professors in any discipline were Black women. And The Regime can’t even tolerate *that*.
And this is what we are losing because of The Regime. When I say “we”, I mean it. All of us. Diversity in science really, really matters.

It's not just the number of women STEM professors, but the number of women in STEM careers. I worked 40 years in science and engineering fields. In engineering I came across very few women, though some were in senior positions. Very few Black engineers, one in a senior position.

In science it was different. I met a number of women astronomers and computer people, some in senior positions, some legendary.

In science I'm not sure I met any Hispanic or Black people, but in engineering, at least where I worked in the Southwest, I worked with many Hispanic engineers and technicians.

I've only noticed that over my years, but haven't drawn any conclusions.
