In the light of the #FCC announcement, I suppose I could claim to be happy that my home router/firewall is a rack-mounted system running #OpenBSD.

Well, I am happy about that. But I'm happier still that I don't live in the US so the FCC's decisions don't (directly) affect me.

@oclsc I'm coming around to thinking every obviously insane decision impacting the economy is being made primarily to enable billions more in graft, corruption, etc. by the Nazis. Make the decision, cash out, unwind the decision, loot, rinse, repeat.
@oclsc we've reached the point that every part of the computing ecosystem is corrupted. Hardware, software, firmware, cloud services, apps, OSes... I don't see how it's possible to back down from this without going back to 1990s levels of tech and starting over. Certain parts of OSS still holding out but the attacks are pervasive, package repos and dev repos alike can't keep up, and suspectibility to "AI" will complete the job for most projects, soon.

@oclsc openbsd is canadian and therefore foreign[*] and not to be trusted.
