I don't know that this is really a surprise to any of us, given the MAGA assholes who own Star Trek now. I really do not look forward to what Trek is going to look like after Strange New Worlds Season 5 and Starfleet Academy Season 2 run their course.

@alessandro @punkonbuslives Lower Decks is IMHO the best recent ST series. SNW will have to end rather soon because Pike will become the vegetable we see in TOS. They might start another TOS prequel after that, showing the early days of Captain Kirk commanding the Enterprise, or maybe a TOS sequel filling the gap between the last TOS season and Star Trek the Motion Picture, but that is only good for two seasons.
