Watching #JurassicPark tonight. Have watched it fairly regularly since it came out in the early 90s.

Saw it three times in the cinema back then. Then again, you could get a ticket and some popcorn for a fiver in 1993. 🤣

However, they don’t make movies like they used to. Some #movies just don’t age and Spielberg rarely missed back then.

@gavin57 There are a few that are unforgettable. Like you said, when you could claim a seat and popcorn for around $3. The most unforgettable, of course, was 'Jaws'. I must have been 8 because the theater showed the trailer for 'Halloween' before the film... ;>)

@wendigo Apart from the shark looking a bit dated, that first movie was wonderfully shot. They were not afraid to have the long takes, the actors playing off each other. The scene on the boat where they are going through their scars and singing continues to be an all-time favourite.

@gavin57 I did see 'Jurassic Park' in the theater and loved it. I've always had a place in my heart for Laura Dern... ;>)

@wendigo Yes, I can relate, although it is funny to think the actress who plays Lex is couple of weeks older than me. 🤣

@gavin57 we watched it again recently as well. One of the kids had never seen it and one had seen it once before. They both really enjoyed it.
