Good software / internet people has always had to find a balance between their conscience and getting good payment and having interesting things to do.

@adactio think that framing of software engineering being a dying field is premature and fatalistic.

talk to me in a year when all this slop code blows the fuck up, and human engineers are called in by the thousands to clean it all up. it's already happening.
