I don't know that this is really a surprise to any of us, given the MAGA assholes who own Star Trek now. I really do not look forward to what Trek is going to look like after Strange New Worlds Season 5 and Starfleet Academy Season 2 run their course.

@punkonbuslives I like SNW a lot, and hope it continues. Lower Decks could have had a longer run; other franchises ran their course well, and Enterprise could have been so much better. Nothing wrong with the cast, but it could have been so much more than it was.

Just my 2c.

SNW has already been cancelled. A 10-episode season 4 is airing this summer and a 6-episode final season 5 in 2027.
