Powerpoint has decided that 'indicates' is a difficult term and I should choose a simpler word to improve clarity. I know society has gone through this kind of thing a lot of times in history but whoa does it feel fast and different when you are the old person clinging to your understanding of language rather than the kid hearing how dime novels and pulp fiction were ruining the youths
Linda Ballinger@instantiatethis I had similar thoughts when it wanted me to replace “feasible” with “possible”. The English language did not borrow words with total abandon over the course of many centuries just to limit our vocabulary now. Nuance matters!
