They really do.
I think about this image a lot. It was a huge mistake to keep listening to that child who wouldn't let go. Just compounded misery upon misery.

I have a more positive interpretation. Where us adults can stay trapped in our own (over)thinking, there is an inner child that is earnestly wanting and able to connect.
@odd @Natasha_Jay Yeah, I know. That's what kept me trapped for so long.
It's also not a negative interpretation to say those adults need to walk away from each other. It's a positive change. People should stop looking at "giving up" on a bad situation as a bad thing. It's a GOOD thing to get out of that situation.
