"They're schoolchildren." Would you fuck off, no they are not. They're not even like children. They are adults, and they are adults who've been given this much space and power because a lot of fucking people won't dare to give them the consequences they deserve.

Children get more consequences than these adult cis men (and it is largely cis men) breaking the world around us. Children get more consequences for doing less, for doing nothing at all harmful, than these fucking power-hungry, greedy pieces of shit.

It's not cute or clever to insult children (who are, if we are truly honest, a major marginalised demographic) just because you think these adult men behave in ways the overwhelming majority of children simply are not allowed to.

Ffs, that shit pisses me off. Cut it the fuck out and start respecting the young people around you. And start calling these absolute shitbags what they are. You have words. Use them.

Seriously, it's every fucking time. "Oh, he's acting like a toddler," when discussing Trump's behaviour.

No, he's fucking not. Name me a toddler who has been allowed to do any of the shit he has. Most toddlers are so fucking controlled on this goddamned planet that they'd actually receive repercussions for trying to hog all of the crayons and refusing to share, and they'd more than likely be punished for it (rather than talked to like the actual human being that they are).

"They're just like little boys." Are they? While boys (particularly cis boys of the hegemonic persuasion wherever they live) do get away with a lot of shit because of varying concepts around "boys will be boys," do you realise that you're minimising the violence and the absolute shit lives that these asshole politicians, bureaucrats, and businesspeople are enacting on all of us (edit: yes, even your lovely little liberal ones because who the fuck do you think helped these fascists get where they are today)? Because while young cis boys have given me headaches, they have not really enacted systems of oppression against me (they've just utilised existing ones, which also meant utilising relevant adults in their lives to fully do so).

Honestly, it's disgusting. I hate it.

Side note: If we're going to be told to "move fast and break things," I think we should move immediately and break these people ruining our world.

History's provided us with a few real and apocryphal torture devices to use. Could be a good time. I have no sympathy for them, and they don't deserve it.

(To be fair, we should've moved even faster and broken them years ago. But since we didn't do that, there's no time like the present.)

@auriblackcat Honestly, recognising the way kids get treated overlaps with a lot of the other bigotries in the world would be great... instead of people just going with the automatic "Stop treating us like kids!" ... Maybe we should stop treating kids like shit, too, but idk.
