Iran keeps hitting oil and energy infrastructure. This is how they got the US by the balls. Trump can't afford a forever war that brings gas price through the roof ahead of the midterms. He's in deep shit.
And that's the thing with drones.. easy to build in mass quantities and hard to defend against, there's no way they can have anti-drone protection in every country around Iran.
Iran doesn't need to destroy the US army or even kill US soldiers. They just need to make gas expensive. And there are many ways possible. That's what hurts the west. And they know it, it happened many times before! The previous oil crisis aren't exactly a secret.
Iran was also supplying tons of drones for Russia in Ukraine, it wasn't hard to guess that they would use their own weapons if they got attacked.
So Taco Trump is done with this war, at least he pretends, it's not clear if the Iranian regime agrees that they are having discussions to end the war. But he wants the detroit open and wants the oil to keep flowing.
To everyone in the Iranian diaspora that was hoping for the US to change the regime, it seems like he has no appetite for it anymore, he just doesn't want high gas prices for his mid-terms.
