@Danthrax That's pretty crazy. I had no idea Sega did that in so many games. It also just seems strange. Like, it's not a bad word at all.
I'm surprised they didn't do the same thing with ASS. At least, in my neck of the woods, every arcade game at the time had kids entering that on the high score list. 😂

I don't know why SEX was so frequently censored for high scores.
An addendum to Bo's article: In Bulk Slash, each navigator says a unique line chastising the player if they enter "SEX" for their high score after a playthrough =P
