Metaverse was dropped after a few months like a bad habit because everyone could pivot to "AI". But there is no new story available right now.
Anton Zadorožnyj@tante that's what I've been saying as well. I think now some money will go into defence again, but every other hype needs a public demo that physics makes very hard to produce (cold fusion, quantum etc)
