Enemy fighter jet operations over central Iran reduce sharply after F-35 strike: Source - Lemmy

Iranian air defense systems have successfully reduced military aggression by American and Israeli fighter jets in the central regions of the country after the F-35 aircraft was struck, a highly-placed intelligence source told Press TV. According to the source, Iran’s advanced and integrated air defense network has inflicted multiple blows against enemy invading aircraft, forcing a decrease in the tempo of operations over central Iran. “The multiple strikes by Iran’s integrated air defense system against American and Israeli invading aircraft have led to a significant reduction in military operations by American and Israeli fighter jets in the central regions of the country,” the source said. The source further noted that the enemy had focused on harassment and terrorist actions in central Iran but has so far failed to achieve its objectives.

Those F-35s are stupid creations.

Their superiority relies on constant data traffic and good means to engage enemy from afar. That data can be followed and it does not even need to be deciphered. The data traffic only needs to exist for anyone to pick it up and follow. Now you have invisible device with visible path. Just stay hidden follow the data trail and strike when close. If the data links is closed, their operability would be lessned quite a lot. And there are means to disrupt or interfere the data.

Okay. They’re not stupid creations, but they have their weaknesses which if overlooked will come up as disaster.

And they’re expensive and filled with tech you would not want to end up in enemy hands.

It’s not the data of the F35’s which can be intercepted but the heat signature. The only real mitigation they have is against radar waves, which is what most military detection uses.

If the plane emits anything, it can be tracked. Ofcourse this one needs sophisticated tech to track, but it is quite doable.

F-35’s play is to hide far and engage from there. Well, what if enemy isn’t to be seen from afar? You fly in solitude and do nothing? Or maybe go closer?

Air superiority over contested area can’t be achieved without actually entering the area somehow.

But IR isn’t really masked on them at all. They focused on making a jack of all trades machine that doesn’t really do anything well. Especially compared to what it replaced.
