Hello #networking people. I'm wondering if it makes sense to buy the more expensive (~70€+) #fiber cleaners/pens, or if the 10€ ones from china do the job comparably well. Any experiences and maybe even comparisons using a fiber scope that someone can share?

context is either
- use for small home networks and occasional lan parties, or
- use in dirty & rough environments at events to connect equipment between stage and FOH.

@thunfisch I usually use the €50 things from NetPeppers, but my guess whould be that cheaper ones also work.

@thunfisch Ah we also have ones für 10 € in use, some older ones, but life on these things is a lot, imho.

It's these, but I can't remember where we got them.
