I wanted to try #helix under #NixOS. Helix can only be configured reproducibly via Home-Manager. Now I’m planning to migrate my 4 VPS and 10 local nodes to Flakes, Home-Manager, sops-nix and colmena.

@0x17 I mean you can also write a flake that wraps the helix package and ships it with your config as a package

@oliverwiegers I know but I don’t use flakes at the moment and I want a better deployment to all the machines in my Network/Homelab ☺️

@0x17 pro tip: Helix can have local per-project config files. I create them using a shell hook to have the correct version of language servers etc.

@wamserma 😭 it’s too late. I am deep in the colmena-flakes-sops-hole and will never come back out of it 😅 but maybe I need this later, thanks for that
