Having a real analog landline phone with a cord (even if it nowadays will almost always be Voice over IP with DSL) will soon be THE thing to have for quite some young(er) people. With a special chair next to it for long calls. Why? People want to have dedicated time and a dedicated physical location for that. Mobile phones are only for voice/text messages anyway. But the real connection is something that wants to come back. @_elena , FYI. You told me to tell you when I "smell" something ;)
@jwildeboer @_elena Does it have Bluetooth for AirPods?
@niko Absolutely not. It also uses pulse dialling, so I needed to get a FritzBox because that was the only DSL router at the time that still supported it :) @_elena

@jwildeboer @niko @_elena

I think I might have an old fritzbox around here somewhere...
Plot thickens!

@baardhaveland Even the newer ones still support it :) It's a German thing, I guess. Mine is a 7490. @niko @_elena

@jwildeboer

Can't remember which one I have. But as with every other router I have ever used, it's in a box somewhere around here... 😅

@niko @_elena

@jwildeboer @niko @_elena There are converters for pulse dialing to tone dialing. I use one myself. 😁 There are different models available, and there are also DIY solutions. Example: https://amzn.to/4sWiIJC
