Words I never want to read in combination:
@ShadowJonathan @bleeptrack
Divers/Männlich/Weiblich/x

@ClipHead @bleeptrack i thought "diverse" was captured in the "x" but ok

oh wait nvm is it about more diversity than "just gender"?

@ShadowJonathan @ClipHead @bleeptrack
Those are essentially options for what's registered for you and written in your birth certificate.
Since 1994, you have the option of _not_ having a gender marker in your documents, here represented by x. However, that option was commonly ignored, "x" in job descriptions is a new thing.
The constitutional court later argued that inter* people don't have a marker to express themselves, so since 2019, inter* people may choose "divers" as an option.

"Divers" means "miscellaneous" and is explicitly _not_ a gender, but just a marker in your document because Germans are obsessed with sex.
"d" was introduced in job descriptions at the same time, while still ignoring people without a gender marker in their papers.
Since 2023, you can change your gender markers somewhat freely to one of these options.

@ShadowJonathan @ClipHead @bleeptrack
Removing the gender marker is now becoming more popular, but there still is barely any public awareness about it.

Don't ask why a job description should list federal gender markers at all. That has to do with how shitty the German language and how deep the broom is.
