Trump has lifted sanctions on Iranian oil, so he is literally paying Iran not to surrender. This on top of also doing the same with Iran's ally, Russia.

The USA is now directly funding two of the three nations Trump claims to most oppose, right after Trump lifted import restrictions on China.

All of the senior military brass warned not to attack Iran, which is why Trump turned to the Fox TV cabinet instead.

And of course, Rupert Murdoch never met a war he didn't like.

@mihamarkic Yes he claims to. And in some senses he has actually made things harder for them. The affinity he has for Russia is personal for Putin and dictatorship. He has finally realized there is a genuine rivalry between the two countries, which is why he no longer really complains about Ukraine.

@mattsheffield I didn't see him yet complaining about Russia, while I read about him badmouthing Zelensky recently. Aren't they synonyms for their countries in Trump's eyes? At least Zelensky is, I'd say. But even if it is like you said, it could change in a matter of Putin's phone call.
