I picked up this copy of a Tintin comic in a waiting room. My first time reading Tintin as an adult. These comics are racist as f**k. The coloniser gaze is everywhere. As a child, I felt it but could never articulate it.

@rohini I thought this had been addressed.So I recently checked a new release at a book shop. I expected to find an explainer/warning at the beginning. But nothing.

@gunstick same. This copy looked fairly new. No signs of wear and tear. There was no note contextualising this work.
