Happy #RSAC to all who celebrate. Had dinner with an out of town visitor who spent the night hitting me with a folding chair to emphasize how great is the disconnect between SF tech hype and how enterprise IT, change management, compliance, product development, etc etc etc, actually work out in the adult world.

If I had a nickel for every time they pressed, “but what does that actually *mean*?, what does [vendor] actually *do*?”, I could have paid for dinner, which I didn’t, because consulting, baby.
