@EdwinG Sadly, contrary to the Commission de toponymie in Quebec, Ontario’s GeoNames database doesn’t go down to street names. You’d have to contact the City of Ottawa, since it’s one of its committees that decides on street names and likely keeps archives about what they’re named after.
