I’m against genocide. If they claim that means I’m against *, then, um, OK. If they are one and the same, then I guess, F the ****!!!

This is what the OP discussion is about no? Who cares if some Jewish person claims that not supporting the actions of the Israeli state is anti Semitic?

It’s still the responsibility of thinking people to recognize the fallacy, because there’s millions of Jews that have no relation to Israel.

I have to literally remind myself of the Jewish people I know who hate all this shit (including more than one Israeli), because all of the default news organizations conflate “Jewishness” with “the current actions of the Israeli government”.

If you absorb news at whatever level, that equivalency is assumed all the time in mainstream news, along with the presumption that the viewer is also sympathizing with the Israeli government.

The alternative perspectives are, for the most part, even more antisemitic in a direct outspoken way, and even more harmful to get acculturated to.

But it takes conscious willpower as a random shiksa in North America to not get pulled into one of those camps.

It’s almost like there is an extremely wealthy and influential group of people who think they benefit from the growth of BOTH of these perspectives!
