To those who grew up in the last 50 yrs or so:

For tens of thousands of years, women did not wear plastic disposable products.

There are plenty of alternatives. Some people like menstrual cups, but I still prefer cloth pads.

These are easy to care for and they last a long, long time. I've had some for a decade. Just don't put them in the dryer, and they'll be fine.

@MissGayle Could you reserve your snark for enemies? You could have mentioned cloth pads - also my favorite! - without being condescending. There's also cotton involved, so the industrial price trends will still affect prices for women who use cloth.

Also, the main headline is that pay parity between genders has already eroded in the first year of trump 2. That's sobering. We've got to get this ship righted. And we won't do so by arguing about every small thing while big things slip by. Alright, team?

@MissGayle Thank you for taking that critique in the spirit it was intended. It is better now, for sure.

An exercise I did with my authors, as well as my own work and correspondence, is to remove the trip hazard altogether and see if the meaning was diminished or enhanced. Sometimes removing whole sentences actually adds impact. But rewording here is good enough and preserves some of the snark that's part of your voice. Thank you, sister. 🫂

It's good to have someone to help me tone it down sometimes, lol.

@MissGayle Definitely how I was when I was young, except you are not as bad. I was right about everything and anyone with a different experience was dumb. I didn't have too many friends, ha.
