„On the brink“ (2024) currently on view at Fondation EDF Paris, part of „Moi es les autres“ group exhibition.
I was told someone panicked and unplugged it it 😂🫶🏻 ( when you know the piece is working)

@aramba i would have unplugged the power supply from the wall, took the chair and carefully but quickly walked outside with that.

just unplugging is so much to late if that thing would have already been "overheating".

@glowl @aramba
Does the piece then become performance art?
@bornach @glowl yes good point, I would say it’s interactive! ;)

@aramba At the Tate Modern, there are some pieces that are cordoned, and an alarm sound if you lean over too much. There are also some weird exhibits.

That gave me an idea of a piece that’s a small plaque on the floor with some tiny text, and it’s cordoned very wide. So when you lean over to read the text, an alarm sounds, and the text reads “Beep beep beep beep beep …”
@blinry

@aramba "Ist das Kunst oder kann das weg?"
@quite it’s the chair of the museum guard, he still needs it! ;)
@aramba oh nice, hot potato art work :D
@aramba Once the magic smoke is let out the brink has been passed though.
@aramba I'm afraid if I saw that in real life, my training would kick in & I would immediately take steps to cool that down & make it stop smoking! 😆
