played a few rounds of this and was like "hm it feels like they're unlocking stuff too fast... maybe it'll get more challenging once i have to switch to all these new pilots/mechs" and then it gave me the "true ending" while i was still on pilot 2 of 12

figured i should at least try each pilot since the game was so eager to give them out, and it is impressive how wildly different some of them are, but they never really got harder to wrap your head around... i ended up only losing a total of 3 runs the entire time i played which feels wrong for a roguelike, especially one that only bothered to have unique narrative hooks for losing

it is fun to play, but imo the most interesting part of games like this is working out how to get a broken combo going that carries you through challenges you used to think were impossible, and it takes a bit of the fun out when broken combos are handed out left and right

it probably doesn't help that it immediately draws comparisons to cobalt core which i enjoyed a lot more
