@ava disagree, whoever marketed microwave popcorn so hard that normal popcorn now seems impossibly hard to make for most people should be drawn and quartered.

(I mean you literally just put popcorn oil and salt, and put it on the stove for 10min. and afterwards you just have one pot to clean and much less waste)
