I'm pretty sure I'm dealing with a harasser and I don't know what to do about it.

Blocked a furry on VRchat after they joked about driving drunk. They sent a bunch of people to ask me to "clear the air" over a misunderstanding. I didn't respond to that.

After that I started getting letters in the mail.

Today, I got a delivery of tequila and whiskey, the brands I used to drink heavily. With a long note saying I needed to talk to them or bad things would happen.

At this point, I think I need to file a police report. Get a restraining order.

I don't know any information about this person except their online handle. But they must have used personal info to get this order of booze. I emailed the vendor and asked to be put on a do not send list and for any info they could send me about the sender. I'll prolly need the police to get that info though.

I'm sure I'm giving them attention by posting about this and that's what they want but like I'm getting seriously worried about it.

before the letters started I sent them a message on bluesky before blocking him there saying that sending other people into our personal disagreement was a shitty move, there was no reason to make alcoholism jokes when I was literally talking about my recovery, and that I wasn't interested in talking with them about it further.

Just had a long call with a police detective.

He's coming to get a statement and document the package and letters tomorrow and request a subpoena to get their information from the shipper. It's not against the law to buy someone booze, but harassment is definitely illegal.

@Firr Yeah, I think your best bet is talking to the cops. This guy is messed up and has your address, that's reason enough right there. Hopefully they can find out who it is and put some IRL heat on him so he'll fuck off.
