"They hate their authoritarian government!"

Dawg, *I* hate *my* authoritarian government - that doesn't mean I'm gonna thank you for bombing my house you absolute muppet.

@AnarchoNinaWrites Let’s look at the timeline:
Blow up my children in their schools.
Stomp around my country for twenty years, killing my friends, family and neighbors.
Do all the things that your Declaration of Independence said are just cause for armed revolt.
Call us terrorists for even the most tepid resistance.
Leave with Mission Accomplished flags waving.
Watch my authoritarian government take back over and kill everybody who didn’t toe the line in their absence.
Do it again.
@AnarchoNinaWrites Nothing is better for solidifying support for an authoritarian regime than an outsider bombing their civilian infrastructure.
@AnarchoNinaWrites but bombing your house is *so effective* at not giving even more internal power to said authoritarian government by providing them with a convenient enemy to unify the population against!
@AnarchoNinaWrites ah, yes, the well tested and proven strategy of causing the people to join the government bombing their schools to rise up against the regime providing the fire fighters and ambulances.
(so fucking much sarcasm, obviously.)
